

The 2023 IndyCar entry list has been established in terms of full-time cars
Full-time entries for the 2023 IndyCar Series were settled after Sting Ray Robb’s ride at Dale Coyne Racing was confirmed with Rick Ware Racing.
A total of 27 entries are expected to compete in all 17 races of the season, not all of which will be filled by the same drivers each time.
Several Indianapolis 500 and wider Oval-only campaigns have already been announced.
Team Penske will enter the new season with an unchanged driver line-up, consisting of 2022 champion Will Power, two-time IndyCar title winner Josef Newgarden and now three-time race winner Scott McLaughlin.
Chip Ganassi Racing has a stable core of six-time champion Scott Dixon, The champion of 2021, Alex Palouand Marcus Ericsson, winner of the 2022 Indianapolis 500.
However, entry #48 has become #11 Rookie Marcus Armstrong to compete on street courses and city circuitsduring Takuma Sato has joined the roster to compete in the ovalswith the experienced Japanese driver hoping to add to his two previous Indy 500 victories.
The newly renamed McLaren IndyCar Team has expanded to a full-time, three-car operation, with incumbents Pato O’Ward and Felix Rosenqvist He was joined by 2016 Indy 500 winner Alexander Rossi.
However, there will still be an additional Dallara running in IndyCar’s flagship race Tony Kanaan, 2013 Indy 500 winner—and 2022 podium finisher—has already signed up.
At Andretti Autosport, Kyle replaces Kirkwood alongside Rossi Colton HertaRomain Grosjean and Devlin DeFrancesco, with Marco Andretti back for the Indy 500.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing consists of the same driver trio, but Christian Lundgaard and Jack Harvey have swapped starting numbers.
Lundgaard will now drive #45 and Harvey #30 while Graham Rahal remains in car #15with RLLR poised to add another vehicle at the Indy 500.
Ed Carpenter continues to field Rinus VeeKay and Conor Daly, with Carpenter himself again driving on all ovals in a third car, and Meyer Shank Racing’s duo of Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud remaining.
As noted Robb takes entry #51which Sato drove last year and will count his teammates as DCR incumbent David Malukas in the number 18 car, competing jointly with HMD Motorsports.
Juncos Hollinger Racing has expanded from one to two cars, with the addition of Callum Ilott Augustine Canapino.
Having run three cars for part of 2022, AJ Foyt Racing is a stripped down, completely changed lineup Santino Ferrucci and Benjamin Pedersen.
An open test will be held at The Thermal Club on February 2-3, and the first race event of the 2023 IndyCar season will be held in St. Petersburg on March 3-5.
