
In 2022, BMW M celebrated its 50th anniversary. This milestone was marked by a new sales record – 177,257 BMW vehicles were sold in the 2022 financial year, an increase of 8.4 percent compared to the previous year. The USA was BMW M’s top-selling market, followed by the German home market. Great Britain is the third market where BMW M sold well.

The BMW i4 M50 is not the only electrified M model. the standalone BMW XM also debuted last year with its 653 hp M-Hybrid drive, while the BMW iX M60 was also successfully launched. Meanwhile, BMW M is expected to unveil the i7 M70 this year.
The BMW M division promises a continuous offensive with electrified performance models. “The further transformation to electromobility is already mapped out.” An electric all-wheel drive M xDrive with four electric motors is also on the table.
Of course, the sales success of BMW M in 2022 includes large numbers of well-known names such as the M3 and M4, including the M3 Touring.
