In 2022, Bugatti had the most successful year in its entire history. The French manufacturer delivered a total of 80 new vehicles to its customers, achieving the highest number of cars assembled and delivered in a 12-month period ever. The automaker now only has to complete 100 more examples of the Chiron until all 500 planned examples are produced and delivered to their new owners.
Speaking of the W16-powered hypercar, this was among the 80 handcrafted Bugatti vehicles last year 400. Chironas well as the last 9 copies of the Chiron Super Sport 300+. All 10 centodiecis were also assembled and delivered like all Chiron and Chiron Sport models for the European market. Many of these machines have been customized to unique configurations, making the Bugatti workshop in Molsheim a very busy place.
“Like all top international luxury brands that compete at the highest level in design and performance, Bugatti faced various challenges in 2022. But with a team unmatched in talent, passion and dedication, Bugatti has once again risen to such challenges and created and realized exciting opportunities,” comments Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti.
Bugatti also further developed its used car program last year. With all production slots for the Chiron, Bolide and Mistral filled, the automaker focused on meeting a growing number of customers looking to buy a used Bugatti. The company doesn’t disclose how many vehicles it has sold through its Certified Pre-Owned program, although it says every single vehicle sold under the platform has been subjected to a 110-point checklist to ensure the vehicle is its own Bugatti standards.
As far as 2023 is concerned, Bugatti is starting the year with the Paris Auction of the unique Chiron Profilee on February 1st. The manufacturer will continue production and delivery of the remaining 100 Chirons. It is also expected to start configuring Mistral and Bolide very soon.
