

Honda Motor announced that organizational and operational changes from the start of fiscal year 2023/24 will come into effect on April 1, 2023.
“With this year’s changes, Honda will further solidify the direction of organizational changes made over the past year towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050,” the automaker said in a statement.
It would “continue to accelerate its electrification business and create new value by leveraging its broad and growing range of mobility products and services.”
Building electrification business development operations
Based on the business development operations set up in April last year to strengthen the electrification business, the electrification business development operations will be newly created. This operation will consolidate the business strategy and BEV product development functions of the automotive business and electrification-related strategy and development functions of the motorcycle and powertrain products business to further strengthen and accelerate the electrification business.
Reorganization of regional operations
The current six regional operations will be consolidated into three: North America, China and associated regions. The new regional operations (associated regions) will unite Japan, Asia and Oceania, South America and Europe, Africa and the Middle East. With this change, Honda will implement electrification strategies and strengthen operations for each region based on its global strategy.
Reorganization of corporate functions
The Corporate Strategy Operations and Corporate Administration Operations departments are newly created. Corporate Strategy Operations will continue to strengthen initiatives to formulate, implement and communicate its corporate strategies to create new value, and Corporate Administration Operations will pursue full optimization of corporate resources aligned with corporate strategy.
