
bmw is Thailand’s favorite car Brand. It may not be the best-selling vehicle, but when Thais have a lot of money to spend, they go for BMW.
The company has seen growth in registrations across its range, driven by last year’s marketing initiatives.
BMW and Mini have led Thailand’s premium market for the past three years. Both have seen their market share increase to 47% in the premium market with 15,000 registered vehicles (13,500 BMW and 1,500 Mini), an increase of 36% over the past year.

The sustainability brand push is proving popular, reflected in the premium BEV market’s highest 41% market share, which has increased fivefold from last year.

BMW Motorrad – the motorcycle division of the brand – also did well with the highest sales ever. Over 200,000 motorcycles and scooters have been delivered worldwide. In Thailand more than 10% of motorcycles over 500cc were BMWs. The BMW CE 04, introduced last year, was the growth driver in the electric motorcycle segment.

BMW maintained its number one position in the premium market with 2,500,000 BMWs, Minis and Rolls Royce delivered worldwide. BMW also saw strong growth in electrified vehicles. The group has more than doubled Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) from 2021, with a total of 215,000 all-electric BMWs and Minis delivered, an increase of more than 100%. Including plug-in hybrids, full-year EV sales grew 356% with over 370,000 EVs delivered.
