Mercedes-Benz is adding technology, performance and the 45 S model to the CLAÒ 2024


The refreshed CLA will roll to Canada later this year with a new look, updated technology and additional powertrain options, including the turbocharged CLA 45 S

Starting on the outside and front, Mercedes revised the front bumper and fascia and inserted a new star pattern grille. LEDs have also received modernized graphics, as have the taillights above the new rear diffuser. The 2024 CLA is also available with three new wheel designs up to 19 inches and can now be painted in Starling Blue or the CLA-exclusive Hyper Blue

Interior additions include 10.25-inch cluster and infotainment screens; Fronting for the new MBUX software with classic, sporty and discreet display options; and Dolby Atmos sound. Cabin trim options now include MB-Tex in sage gray and black, red and black leather, or an open-pore brown basswood interior. And the steering wheel is wrapped in nappa leather, heated and also available in the AMG Line

Equipment options for 2024 include the CLA 250 Coupé, the CLA 250 4Matic Coupé, the AMG CLA 35 Coupé and the AMG CLA 45 S. Generator that produces 13 hp at start and allows engine-off coasting. The 250’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 221 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, propelling both the front-wheel drive CLA and 4Matic to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds

The AMG CLA 35 also now comes with the mild hybrid setup, which supports its 302 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder and is mated to an eight-speed dual clutch instead of the outgoing seven-speed. With that “S” after the 45, the top-end AMG option now makes 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque instead of the outgoing 45’s 382 hp and 354 lb-ftwhich accelerates it to 96 km/h in 4.0 seconds.

The 2024 CLA Coupé is expected to hit dealerships later this year. Prices have yet to be announced
