
USC quarterback Caleb Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner, was named the honorary starter for the Busch Light Clash at the Los Angeles Coliseum on Sunday, February 5.
He’s the latest addition to a star-studded event that includes the best drivers and cars from the NASCAR Cup Series, as well as performances from hip-hop icons Cypress Hill and Wiz Khalifa.
NASCAR made an important announcement regarding The Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum on Sunday night.
It announced that USC quarterback Caleb Williams will wave the green flag for the race, which will be held in two weeks.
Williams became the eighth player in USC history to win the Heisman Trophy. He led the nation in 42 touchdown passes and threw for 4,537 yards for a team that won 11 games. Additionally, Williams’ elusive nature on the run made him a menace as he rushed for 442 yards and six TDs
The Bush Light Clash at the LA Coliseum begins February 5 at 8:00 p.m. EST and will be televised by Fox.
