
A group of at least 10 masked bandits broke into a car dealership in suburban Chicago and stole half a dozen luxury vehicles, including a Maserati, authorities said.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video Friday shows the brazen burglary that took place around 2am last Monday at the Exclusive dealership on the 1600 block of South Roselle Road in Schaumburg.
In the shot, a large SUV pulls up in front of the used car dealership and several suspects get out.
As they gather outside the store, one of the intruders smashes a window and the crowd then pours into the building.
The intruders set off a security alarm that ordered officers to the scene — but only after the crooks were able to get their hands on the car keys and flee with their high-priced loot.
Authorities learned the robbers spent about 10 minutes at the dealership and got away with six cars, including a blue 2014 Audi S7, two blue 2017 Audi Q7s, a blue 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450, a white Mercedes-Benz E300 from 2019 and a black 2014 Maserati Ghibli.



Police in the city of Oak Park later recovered the 2014 Audi S7 left behind by the thieves and turned it over to criminologists for further processing.
The owner of the broken-in car dealership in conversation with Channel WGN TV On condition of anonymity, the crooks said they used a brick to break into the store.
“It was something you can’t imagine,” said the victim. „You read about it and then when it happens to you, you know it’s more of a shock than anything.“
The owner expressed hope that the perpetrators “get what they deserve”.


As of Monday, no arrests have been made and the sheriff’s office has not released descriptions of the suspects. Most of them were last seen in the video wearing hoodies and masks.
