Fox News’ Howard Kurtz felt sorry for the White House press secretary Karine Jean Pierre— given the tough week, she had questions about the President Joe Bidens classified documents.
Kurtz spoke to the Fox News White House reporter Peter Docy in the Sunday edition of MediaBuzz – where the talk largely celebrated Doocy’s violent survey the Biden administration in recent days following the discovery of classified documents in the President’s home and former office.
Kurtz expelled Doocy’s question to Biden, goading the President into saying he kept some of the documents in the same garage where he keeps his classic Stingray Corvette. That moment led to a lot of The examination for Biden in the following days.
“You made that 1967 Stingray even more famous,” Kurtz said with a laugh from Doocy.
The two continued, like Doozy (and other reporter) peppered Jean-Pierre with questions to the point where she took no questions from Fox News at Friday’s briefing.
Kurtz then shifted his focus to Thursday’s briefing – he called it “painful to watch” Jean-Pierre being interrogated by reporters. Kurtz noted that Jean-Pierre kept trying to deflect questions to the Justice Department and the White House Attorney’s Office, even though she knew they would not comment further than she could.
“I felt a certain sympathy for her,” Kurtz said. “Because they send them out but they don’t let them go beyond what the President has already said.”
